Minimum margins
KDP sets the inside margin by page count. Top, bottom and outside margins are the same for every length.

Bleed
Bleed is 0.125 in (3.2 mm) on the top, bottom and outside edges, none on the inside. A 6 × 9 in book becomes 6.125 × 9.25 in. If one page needs bleed, set up the whole interior with it, and export a print-ready PDF.
Spine width
Spine width is the page count times a thickness per page: 0.002252 in for white paper, 0.0025 in for cream, 0.002252 in for standard color and 0.002347 in for premium color. Spine text needs about 80 pages. The flat cover is bleed + back + spine + front + bleed wide and the trim height plus two bleeds tall.
Royalty
The royalty is the rate times the list price, minus the printing cost. The rate is 60 % from a list price of 9.99 (USD, EUR) or 7.99 (GBP) and 50 % below that. The printing cost is a fixed part plus a part per page, higher for large trims. Expanded distribution pays less and is not included. The calculator does not account for VAT, which Amazon adds in some marketplaces.
